The Founder

Gina Wilkerson

Gina Wilkerson founded Drew's School of Music in honor of her son, Drew — carrying his love of music forward by putting instruments and lessons within reach of students across Hartsville.

This school exists because she believed his belief was worth continuing: that music should be shared, taught, and enjoyed by all.

In Memory Of

Drew

A musician and educator whose belief — that music should be shared, taught, and enjoyed by all — is the reason this school exists.

Every lesson taught here, on every instrument, is part of that belief continuing on.

"Created in memory of a musician and educator who believed music should be shared, taught, and enjoyed by all."
How It Came Together

A few milestones so far

  • June 2026

Drew's School of Music took shape as a page and a mission: give every student in Hartsville a place to learn and love music.

  • August 2026

Our sign went up on 4th Street — built by Gene Maynor and installed with help from Manly Kelley. It was the moment this all started to feel real.

  • September 2026

Our instructor team came together and we opened Student Applications, ready to start scheduling lessons in guitar, piano, voice, and drums.
